Job Requirements

  • Lift or move up to approximately 50 pounds frequently
  • Bending, stooping, and kneeling frequently required
  • Routine standing for duration of shift

  • Proven ability to manage labor and food costs effectively

Job Duties

  • Develop and promote a learning and nurturing environment for all restaurant Team Members that focuses on cooking techniques, knife skills, time management, and accountability to ensure culinary, sales, and service success
  • Maintain appropriate staff levels based on projected sales and business needs
  • Cultivate an environment of open, authentic dialogue with the restaurant team, senior team and home office partners
  • Practice proactive performance management with General Manager and HR to ensure adherence to policies and procedures
  • Stay up-to-date with current food trends through research and vendor partnerships
  • Assist Executive Chef with daily, weekly, and monthly specials and menu development
  • Minimize employee turnover by hiring qualified people, orienting new employees, setting performance expectations, training, coaching, and providing feedback
  • Facilitate company learning and training program implementation and monitor performance for skill transfer
  • Achieve or exceed kitchen financial goals such as food cost, food efficiencies, labor costs, and direct kitchen expenses
