Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of culinary experience
  • Proven sous chef or higher experience in high-volume upscale dining
  • Experience managing operational optimization projects
  • Strong leadership capability
  • Knowledge of Italian cuisine
  • Proficiency in organizational and communication skills
  • Competence with Microsoft 365 and restaurant management software
  • Adaptability to fast-paced environments
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, holidays
  • Ability to lift and move 50 lbs frequently

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive culinary experience with reputable hospitality companies
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or higher in a high-volume upscale dining environment
  • Demonstrated success in managing or contributing to operational optimization projects
  • Strong leadership skills to inspire and motivate diverse teams
  • In-depth knowledge of Italian cuisine and kitchen management principles
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Restaurant 365, and restaurant scheduling and inventory platforms
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Maintain consistency and excellence in food presentation, taste, and portioning
  • Collaborate with the Culinary Team and Executive Chef to develop innovative Italian-inspired dishes
  • Lead daily kitchen operations ensuring seamless execution during service
  • Assist in project managing the kitchen remodel to optimize BOH efficiency
  • Support collaboration with architects, designers, and contractors on BOH needs
  • Develop and refine BOH systems and workflows for productivity and scalability
  • Recruit, train, and mentor kitchen staff fostering a culture of growth
  • Foster a learning environment emphasizing professional development
  • Partner with Senior Leadership to prepare Culinary Team for national expansion
  • Support the establishment of standardized recipes and operational guidelines
  • Work with General Manager to achieve financial goals and optimize guest satisfaction
