Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • six years experience in culinary or food and beverage industry
  • or two-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
  • four years relevant professional experience
  • strong leadership capabilities
  • knowledge of sanitation and food safety regulations
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to manage budgets and control costs

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with six years experience in culinary or food and beverage
  • or two-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with four years experience
  • strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • experience managing kitchen operations and staff
  • ability to analyze performance data and control costs
  • effective communication skills

Job Duties

  • Provides direction for all day-to-day kitchen operations
  • supervises and coordinates activities of cooks and food preparation workers
  • develops and implements purchasing and receiving guidelines
  • manages department controllable expenses and participates in budgeting
  • monitors quality and presentation of food products
  • ensures compliance with food handling and sanitation standards
  • manages customer service and guest satisfaction initiatives
