Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • six years experience in culinary or related professional area
  • or two-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management or related major
  • four years experience in culinary, food and beverage or related professional area
  • ability to lead kitchen staff and operations
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • experience managing budgets and controlling costs

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Provides direction for all day-to-day culinary operations
  • supervises and coordinates activities of food preparation staff
  • develops and implements purchasing and receiving control procedures
  • ensures compliance with food handling and sanitation standards
  • manages department expenses including food cost and supplies
  • provides exceptional customer service by supporting and coaching staff
  • manages employee performance including training and disciplinary procedures
