Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-4 years of experience as a Sous Chef
  • knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety
  • ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • strong organizational skills
  • excellent communication abilities
  • willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Train all associates in the kitchen on job duties including plate presentation and display work
  • write schedules and evaluate personnel
  • maintain open communication between management and associates
  • provide tools and equipment for associates
  • take immediate action on kitchen problems
  • participate in department, staff, and kitchen meetings
  • ensure high-quality food preparation and timely service to outlets
  • assist in establishing goals, standards, and objectives
  • supervise kitchen staff and sanitation associates in the absence of the Executive Chef
  • ensure timely submission of payroll hours
