Job Requirements

  • 2-4 years as a sous chef
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Experience with various food service styles including buffet and plated meals
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to delegate and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • 2-4 years as a sous chef
  • Experience in training and mentoring culinary staff
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage kitchen operations effectively
  • Knowledge of food safety and quality standards
  • Ability to work under pressure and solve problems quickly
  • Leadership skills to motivate and develop team members

Job Duties

  • Train all kitchen associates on job duties including plate presentation and display work
  • Write schedules, evaluate, and direct all kitchen personnel
  • Maintain open verbal and written communication between management and associates
  • Provide associates with necessary tools and equipment
  • Take immediate action on kitchen problems
  • Participate in department meetings, staff meetings, kitchen meetings, and inventory
  • Ensure high quality food is properly prepared and expedited
  • Assist in establishing goals and standards for the kitchen
  • Supervise entire kitchen staff and utility associates in absence of Executive Chef
  • Ensure timely submission of payroll hours
