Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 5 years cooking experience
  • minimum 2 years kitchen management experience
  • banquet chef experience preferred
  • food/beverage service worker permit, where applicable
  • ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • meet minimum age requirement of jurisdiction
  • no health or safety risks posed to self or others

Job Qualifications

  • read, write, speak and understand English
  • ability to understand financial goals and accomplish them
  • minimum 2 years banquet chef experience preferred
  • minimum 5 years cooking experience
  • food/beverage service worker permit, where applicable
  • ability to communicate effectively with the public and other employees
  • meet minimum age requirement of jurisdiction
  • minimum 2 years kitchen management experience
  • college degree or certification in culinary field/hospitality field preferred
  • no employee will pose a direct threat to the health/safety of self or others

Job Duties

  • supervise and coordinate food preparation and kitchen staff activities
  • purchase and requisition ingredients, kitchen supplies, and equipment
  • participate in menu planning, preparing and portioning food, and controlling costs
  • supervise stewarding operations to maintain cleanliness of kitchen and equipment
  • supervise cooks to ensure food quality and adherence to presentation standards
  • oversee inventory, storage, and distribution of food and supplies
