Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 5 years cooking experience
- minimum 2 years kitchen management experience
- banquet chef experience preferred
- food/beverage service worker permit, where applicable
- ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- meet minimum age requirement of jurisdiction
- no health or safety risks posed to self or others
Job Qualifications
- read, write, speak and understand English
- ability to understand financial goals and accomplish them
- minimum 2 years banquet chef experience preferred
- minimum 5 years cooking experience
- food/beverage service worker permit, where applicable
- ability to communicate effectively with the public and other employees
- meet minimum age requirement of jurisdiction
- minimum 2 years kitchen management experience
- college degree or certification in culinary field/hospitality field preferred
- no employee will pose a direct threat to the health/safety of self or others
Job Duties
- supervise and coordinate food preparation and kitchen staff activities
- purchase and requisition ingredients, kitchen supplies, and equipment
- participate in menu planning, preparing and portioning food, and controlling costs
- supervise stewarding operations to maintain cleanliness of kitchen and equipment
- supervise cooks to ensure food quality and adherence to presentation standards
- oversee inventory, storage, and distribution of food and supplies
