Job Requirements
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field
- 2-year college degree and 3 or more years of related experience
- or 4-year college degree and 1 to 2 years of related experience
- or Culinary Degree with 1 to 2 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
- proficiency in Windows operating systems
- supervisory experience required
- ability to work a flexible schedule
- ability to convey information clearly
- ability to evaluate and select among alternatives quickly and accurately
- ability to work well under stress
- effective at workplace problem handling including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems
- effective listening, understanding, and clarifying issues for co-workers and guests
- ability to work with financial data and basic arithmetic
- ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
- approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- supervise hotel kitchens and ensure all kitchen personnel fulfill their job functions
- create menus and food presentation
- address and resolve customer problems efficiently
- perform spot checks for menu accuracy and taste
- minimize spoilage, waste and over production
- monitor banquet and catering activity
- maintain kitchen inventories
- prepare annual employee reviews
- assist in achieving departmental objectives
- expedite peak meal periods with a hands-on approach
- work within food cost budgets and control waste
- assure timely set up and schedule trained cooks
- maintain cleanliness, sanitation and safety in kitchen and work areas
- review food sales for accuracy and oversee food display merchandising
