Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Secondary education in cooking or food preparation
  • Certification in food services sanitation (ServSafe)
  • Five years experience in a supervisory role preferred
  • Ability to cook a variety of foods in large quantities ensuring quality
  • Ability to cook ala carte style
  • Ability to follow recipes
  • Ability to maintain care and use of supplies and equipment
  • Knowledge of industry and regulatory agency procedures and requirements

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Secondary education in cooking or food preparation
  • Certification in food services sanitation (ServSafe)
  • At least 5 years experience in a supervisory kitchen role preferred
  • Ability to cook a variety of foods in large quantities with optimal quality
  • Proficient in cooking ala carte style
  • Ability to follow standardized recipes
  • Knowledge of maintaining care and use of kitchen supplies and equipment

Job Duties

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations at Longview
  • Train and develop kitchen staff
  • Manage food preparation and maintain quality standards
  • Create cycle menus approved by the Executive Chef
  • Schedule kitchen staff and manage shifts
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation and food safety standards
  • Coordinate catering for VIP functions and staff dining
