Job Requirements
- Culinary degree, certification, or equivalent culinary training
- minimum of five years of progressive experience in high-end restaurants, hotels, or private clubs, with at least three years in a supervisory role
- Fort Worth food handlers card is required
- commit to the River Crest Country Club mission statement
- must have a professional, courteous & respectful attitude toward members, guests, vendors, co-workers and supervisors
- strong understanding of various culinary techniques, cuisines, and food presentation
- proven ability to lead, teach, mentor, delegate and motivate a diverse team of culinary professionals
- exceptional creativity and passion for delivering unique and exceptional dining experiences
- excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, member relations and critical thinking skills
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Collaborate effectively with the kitchen management team
- mentor, teach, train and support the culinary team
- assist with daily ordering and inventories
- establish and maintain professional relationships with members and coworkers
- display the highest standards of service, greeting and welcoming members in a polite, gracious, and enthusiastic manner
- demonstrate professional conduct and proper etiquette
- work closely with the front-of-house food and beverage managers to ensure cohesive experience that consistently exceeds the expectations of members
- respond quickly and positively to members questions, requests, problems, and complaints and resolve them effectively and consistently
- assist the Executive Chef in managing all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and sanitation standards
- lead and inspire the culinary team, fostering a culture of teamwork, growth, and continuous improvement
- collaborate with the Executive Chef to create seasonal and innovative menus that showcase local, sustainable, and high-quality ingredients
- maintain a strong grasp of current culinary trends, striving to present unique and exciting dishes that cater to diverse tastes and dietary preferences
- execute menus with precision and consistency, ensuring that every dish meets the club's standards of excellence
- manage day-to-day kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation
- assist the Executive Chef with monthly inventories, pricing, cost controls, requisitioning and issuing new menu items for food production
- monitor inventory levels and ensures proper storage and handling of food items to minimize waste and maintain cost control
- oversee kitchen equipment maintenance and ensure all kitchen equipment is in excellent working condition
- enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and hygienic kitchen environment
- conduct regular inspections of food preparation areas to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation
- collaborate with the Executive Chef and event planning team to design and execute culinary offerings for extraordinary events, banquets, and private functions
- coordinate with service staff to ensure a timely and efficient food service during events
- develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the procurement of top-quality ingredients at competitive prices
- follow and enforces compliance with applicable health, safety, food handling, and the codes and standards
- ensure high standards of sanitation, cleanliness and safety
- manage multiple parties and functions at one time with effective direction and execution
- handle pressure and stress during long hours of work
- handle human resources related issues, staff payroll and scheduling of staff
- must have a professional, courteous & respectful attitude toward members, guests, vendors, co-workers and supervisors
