Job Requirements

  • Education in culinary arts or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience as a sous chef or similar role in a high-volume kitchen
  • Experience with fish handling and sushi preparation
  • Ability to manage kitchen staff and kitchen operations effectively
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Willingness to relocate to Chesapeake Virginia
  • Availability to work a 5-day workweek

  • Strong knowledge of food preparation cost control and kitchen management
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and lead a team effectively
  • Experience with whole fish butchery
  • Proficiency in sushi roll preparation and handling

  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to oversee day-to-day kitchen operations
  • Knowledge of cost and labor systems

Job Duties

  • Oversee daily culinary operations ensuring quality and consistency
  • Coordinate food and kitchenware orders
