Job Duties
- Support senior leadership by developing and assuming key management responsibilities
- assume the role of liaison between all culinary division departments including stewarding and other hotel departments
- supervise the performance of Sous Chefs and provide guidance on food preparation and cooking
- supervise Stewarding Supervisors and provide counsel on stewarding responsibilities
- develop and implement creative menu items adhering to Hyatt brand standards
- ensure proper management of stewarding inventory and storage
- plan, coordinate and implement special events and holiday functions
- manage hourly kitchen and stewarding employees through scheduling, payroll, training, coaching, evaluating and hiring
- lead and coach the team to achieve exceptional guest service and employee satisfaction
- monitor food production, ordering, cost, and quality daily to ensure financial performance and control
- ensure proper safety and sanitation of all kitchen and stewarding facilities and equipment
- organize and facilitate departmental meetings, training, and goal setting
