Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 6 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
  • 4 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • Ability to lead and manage kitchen operations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation
  • Experience with budgeting and cost control
  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 6 years of culinary or food and beverage experience
  • OR 2-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with 4 years of culinary or food and beverage experience
  • Proven leadership experience in kitchen or food service management
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and culinary techniques
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage budgets and control costs
  • Experience in staff training, development, and performance management
  • Competence in menu planning and food presentation
  • Ability to resolve guest issues with professionalism and poise
  • Familiarity with brand standards and hospitality industry best practices

Job Duties

  • Provides direction for all day-to-day kitchen operations
  • Leads and supervises kitchen staff and supports employee development
  • Oversees all food preparation areas and support functions
  • Ensures compliance with sanitation and food safety standards
  • Develops and implements purchasing and receiving guidelines
  • Manages culinary budget including food cost and supplies
  • Monitors food quality and presentation standards
  • Interacts with guests to obtain feedback and resolve complaints
  • Coaches and mentors employees to improve skills and performance
  • Administers performance evaluations and disciplinary actions
  • Collaborates with banquet and catering teams on menu and training
  • Encourages exceptional customer service and guest satisfaction
  • Reviews staffing levels and manages employee schedules
  • Maintains brand and property policy compliance and safety standards
  • Prepares and cooks food as needed for special events
