Job Requirements

  • Available to work various shifts including weekdays, weekends, and holidays
  • proven experience in high-volume and fine dining pastry operations
  • ability to inspire and lead a team of 10 culinary staff
  • strong creative and innovative skills in pastry arts
  • excellent communication and organizational skills
  • commitment to exceptional guest service
  • willingness to comply with company values and operational standards

Job Qualifications

  • At least three years experience as a Pastry Chef with a background in luxury hotels
  • excellent culinary skills in pastry and dessert preparation
  • strong leadership and team management abilities
  • ability to plan and develop seasonal menu offerings
  • experience managing food cost controls
  • knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety standards
  • prior union experience is a plus

Job Duties

  • Assist running the pastry section of the kitchen
  • ensure excellent quality throughout the dessert offerings
  • bring creativity to the pastry offerings
  • supervise and coordinate all pastry and dessert preparation and presentation
  • plan production to facilitate daily requirements
  • develop appropriate seasonal menu offerings
  • manage food cost controls to contribute to food and beverage revenue
  • ensure compliance with food hygiene and health and safety regulations
