Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum three years experience as a pastry chef in luxury hotel settings
  • availability to work various shifts including weekdays, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to lead and train a team effectively
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills

Job Qualifications

  • At least three years experience as a pastry chef in luxury hotels
  • strong leadership and team management skills
  • exceptional culinary skills in pastry arts
  • ability to drive creativity and innovation
  • prior union experience is a plus
  • excellent organizational and planning abilities
  • knowledge of food cost control and safety regulations

Job Duties

  • Assist running the pastry section of the kitchen
  • ensure excellent quality throughout the dessert offerings
  • bring creativity to the pastry offerings
  • supervise and coordinate all pastry and dessert preparation and presentation
  • plan production to facilitate daily requirements
  • develop appropriate seasonal menu offerings
  • manage food cost controls to contribute to food and beverage revenue
  • ensure compliance with food hygiene and health and safety regulations
