Job Requirements

  • Proven experience as a successful pastry chef
  • prior management experience of multi-unit operations required
  • ability to travel around Charleston providing desserts to restaurants
  • 3+ years experience in a pastry kitchen handling preparation and cooking
  • strong attention to detail
  • creative with a problem-solving approach
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • extensive knowledge of food preparation, sanitation principles, baking techniques and nutrition
  • must be available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Craft a dessert menu fitting with the restaurant concept and locale
  • partner with Executive Chef to ensure menu alignment
  • prepare detailed recipe cards for consistency
  • lead and motivate pastry cooks
  • maintain open communication with chefs for recipe adjustments
  • ensure a clean and sanitary workstation adhering to DHEC regulations
  • report product shortages, equipment issues, or food quality problems promptly
  • participate in employee meetings with suggestions
  • prioritize guest experience in all tasks
