Job Requirements
- Proven experience as a successful pastry chef
- prior management experience of multi-unit required
- ability to travel around Charleston providing desserts to restaurants
- 3+ years of experience in a pastry kitchen handling preparation and cooking
- strong attention to detail
- creative with a problem-solving approach
- strong leadership and communication skills
- extensive knowledge of food preparation, sanitation principles, baking techniques and nutrition
- must be available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a successful pastry chef

- at least 3 years of pastry kitchen experience including preparation and cooking
- strong attention to detail
- creativity coupled with a problem-solving approach
- excellent leadership and communication skills
- extensive knowledge of food preparation, sanitation principles, baking techniques, and nutrition
Job Duties
- Craft dessert menus fitting the restaurant concept and locale while partnering with the Executive Chef on menu alignment
- prepare detailed recipe cards and ensure team adherence to maintain consistency
- motivate, teach, and maintain a positive culture among pastry cooks by sharing inspiration and ideas
- maintain open communication and be receptive to feedback to enhance recipes and kitchen operations
- uphold clean and sanitary workstations adhering to all health regulations including cleaning tables, shelves, walls, ovens, equipment, and refrigeration
- promptly report product shortages, equipment malfunctions, or food quality issues to the Executive Chef
- participate in scheduled employee meetings and offer suggestions for improvement
- ensure the guest experience remains the top priority in all pastry operations
