Job Requirements
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and special events
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of pastry experience including 3+ years in a leadership role within a luxury or Five-Star hotel or fine dining establishment
- Degree or certification in Culinary Arts or Patisserie preferred
- Food Manager Certification required
- Proven expertise in French pastry, chocolate work, artisan breads, and plated dessert presentation
- Strong organizational, leadership, and mentoring skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Creative, detail-oriented, and passionate about innovation and guest satisfaction
Job Duties
- Direct all aspects of pastry production across restaurants, lounges, banquets, and in-room dining
- Develop, test, and implement innovative dessert menus aligned with the hotel’s luxury positioning
- Oversee daily operations of the pastry kitchen, ensuring compliance with recipes, presentation, and quality standards
- Collaborate with Executive Chef and Food & Beverage Director on seasonal menu planning and special events
- Maintain proper inventory, cost controls, and purchasing for all pastry ingredients and equipment
- Lead daily briefings and ensure smooth coordination between culinary, stewarding, and service teams
- Recruit, train, and mentor pastry chefs, bakers, and support staff
- Conduct performance evaluations and maintain high morale within the pastry brigade
- Ensure all desserts and breads are prepared with precision, elegance, and consistency
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards
- Engage with guests and VIPs to personalize the culinary experience
- Represent the pastry team at hotel events, photo shoots, and media opportunities
- Uphold the hotel’s brand identity, values, and luxury service ethos in every product and presentation
- Perform any other duties as assigned by Management
