Job Requirements

  • Education in pastry arts or related field preferred
  • Proven supervisory experience of pastry teams
  • Experience managing food and labor costs
  • Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to maintain high standards of safety and sanitation
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Job Qualifications

  • 4 to 5+ years of experience in a high-volume, fine dining, banquet, pastry production kitchen, ideally within a hotel or resort setting
  • Minimum of 3+ years' previous supervisory experience organizing and scheduling employees to maximize efficiency
  • Extensive experience across multiple disciplines of pastry arts, including production, cake design, artisan breads, sugar artistry
  • Advanced knowledge and hands-on skills in chocolate work and decorative artistry is desired
  • Basic profit and loss knowledge
  • A degree in pastry arts is preferred
  • Spanish-speaking ability is a plus but not a requirement

Job Duties

  • Lead pastry operations for all outlets, banquets, and events
  • Manage, train, and support the growth of a talented pastry team of about 20 members
  • Control food and labor costs
  • oversee ordering and inventory
  • Ensure quality, consistency, and presentation standards
  • Maintain kitchen safety, sanitation, and compliance
  • Collaborate with culinary leadership to enhance the guest experience
