Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 4 years of experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
  • 2 years of relevant professional experience
  • Ability to lead and manage employees
  • Strong communication skills
  • Familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Capacity to maintain operating budgets and control inventory

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 4 years of culinary or food and beverage experience
  • OR 2-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field with 2 years of relevant experience
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Creative baking and decorating talents
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to develop innovative pastry products and menus

Job Duties

  • Supervises and manages pastry staff including cooks and workers
  • Leads pastry preparation shift operations and performs baking tasks personally
  • Develops and creates new pastry items and menu concepts
  • Ensures compliance with sanitation, food handling, and safety standards
  • Provides training, coaching, and development for pastry team members
  • Monitors service quality and guest satisfaction, responding to guest feedback and complaints
  • Manages budgeting, inventory purchases, and waste controls for pastry operations
