Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a pastry chef or in a similar culinary role
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Be a clear thinker, remain calm and resolve problems using good judgment
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area at all times
  • Basic math skills needed to understand and implement recipes and measurements
  • Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance
  • Ability to move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance
  • Ability to stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift
  • Ability to obtain Riverside County Food Handlers Card
  • Must be available weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Provide direction for interviewing, hiring, counseling, training, and disciplining pastry associates in coordination with human resources and executive chef
  • Schedule production work for associates
  • Control all food costs and payroll
  • Responsible for purchasing supplies
  • Coordinate production of all baked goods and dessert items ordered by outlets
  • Complete any special requests ordered by outlets or other departments
  • Prepare wedding cakes for social functions as needed
  • Coordinate and execute VIP amenities and lobby activations
