Job Requirements
- Minimum four years of related kitchen management or culinary experience
- Previous experience leading a team of seven or more
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities
- Ability to stand for long durations and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 30 pounds
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Fluency in English
- Willingness to follow all food safety regulations
- Proficient with relevant software and technology platforms
Job Qualifications
- Minimum four years of experience as a pastry chef, executive chef, kitchen manager, or equivalent
- Proven leadership experience managing teams of seven or more
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to manage kitchen operations independently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in computer and mobile technology platforms for communication and task management
- Demonstrated leadership skills with positivity and mentorship ability
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of food safety standards and SOP management
- Experience with budget monitoring and inventory control
Job Duties
- Act as a responsible leader promoting company culture and values
- Maintain consistent attendance, punctuality, and cleanliness
- Train new hires and ensure staff are properly trained
- Uphold product quality standards for all kitchen outputs
- Form a strong, cohesive team through humanized leadership
- Monitor and evaluate team member performance regularly
- Manage kitchen operations including ordering, inventory, and maintenance
- Schedule all back-of-house staff and approve payroll and time off requests
- Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard new team members
- Utilize production planning software for orders and prep lists
- Ensure daily cleaning duties and food safety compliance
- Provide timely coaching, feedback, and conduct performance reviews
- Develop positive relationships to cultivate team culture
- Cross-train staff for operational flexibility
