Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 6 years culinary or food and beverage experience or 2-year degree with 4 years experience
- Ability to lead and supervise a culinary team
- Strong creative and technical baking skills
- Knowledge of sanitation and safety standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work full-time on-site at Gaylord Pacific Resort & Convention Center
- Availability to manage shifts and lead by example
- Capability to manage budgets and inventory
- Willingness to participate in community outreach and guest engagement
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 6 years experience in culinary or related area
- OR 2-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management or related major with 4 years experience
- Proven leadership and management skills
- Strong baking and decorating expertise
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements
- Ability to develop and innovate pastry products
- Experience in budget management and inventory control
- Ability to handle guest interactions professionally
- Proficiency in training and mentoring culinary staff
Job Duties
- Manages daily pastry operations
- Supervises and coordinates activities of pastry cooks and staff
- Exhibits creative baking and decorating talents while performing tasks
- Leads, mentors, and coaches pastry team members
- Maintains food quality, safety, and sanitation standards
- Develops and innovates new pastry products and menu items
- Monitors budget, purchasing, and inventory management
- Conducts culinary classes and cooking demonstrations
- Handles guest feedback and resolves complaints
- Ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Represents the resort at media and community events
- Trains employees on safety and food handling procedures
