Job Requirements

  • Proven experience as a successful pastry chef
  • Prior management experience of multi-unit required
  • Ability to travel around Charleston providing desserts to restaurants
  • 3+ years of experience in a pastry kitchen handling preparation and cooking
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Creative with a problem-solving approach
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge of food preparation, sanitation principles, baking techniques and nutrition
  • Must be available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays

  • Experience working in a fast-paced hospitality environment

Job Duties

  • Craft dessert menu in collaboration with Executive Chef to fit restaurant concepts and locales
  • Prepare detailed recipe cards to ensure consistency across pastry team
  • Motivate, teach, and maintain a positive culture among pastry cooks
  • Communicate openly with chefs and staff, welcoming feedback and making recipe adjustments
  • Maintain clean and sanitary workstation in compliance with DHEC regulations
  • Report product shortages, equipment issues, or food quality concerns promptly
  • Participate in scheduled employee meetings and contribute improvement suggestions
  • Ensure outstanding guest experience as the ultimate goal
