Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 5 years experience in pastry and baking roles
  • previous leadership or management experience
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • strong interpersonal skills
  • ability to work under pressure

Job Qualifications

  • Baking and pastry education
  • proven experience managing a pastry kitchen team
  • strong cost control skills
  • excellent communication and training abilities
  • proficient computer skills
  • organizational and staff management knowledge
  • experience working in a luxury hospitality setting

Job Duties

  • Hire, train, manage and coach the pastry and baking team
  • provide a quality product that is timely, fresh and meets quantity needs of banquets and restaurants
  • work directly with the Executive Chef to maintain and improve the culinary operation
  • liaise with all departments within the hotel
  • oversee cost control related to pastry and baking
  • ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • manage guest contact related to pastry offerings
