Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in professional pastry or baking kitchens
  • Experience leading a culinary team
  • Strong organizational and computer skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Effective communication skills
  • Commitment to quality and excellence

Job Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in baking or pastry arts preferred
  • Proven experience in pastry leadership roles
  • Strong knowledge of baking and pastry production
  • Excellent communication and team management skills
  • Proficiency in cost control and inventory management
  • Ability to train and mentor staff
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in food production

Job Duties

  • Hire, train, manage, and coach pastry and baking team
  • Provide timely and fresh pastry products for banquets and restaurants
  • Collaborate with Executive Chef to maintain and improve culinary operations
  • Manage cost control and inventory related to pastry and bakery
  • Develop and implement training programs for staff
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
  • Liaise with other hotel departments to coordinate pastry service
