Job Requirements
- minimum 3 years experience in a pastry kitchen handling preparation and cooking
- ability to travel around Charleston providing desserts to restaurants
- availability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays
- strong leadership and communication skills
- strong attention to detail
- proven experience as a successful pastry chef
- prior management experience of multi-unit
- extensive knowledge of food preparation, sanitation principles, baking techniques and nutrition
- creative with a problem-solving approach

Job Duties
- craft dessert menus fitting the concept and locale in partnership with the executive chef
- prepare detailed recipe cards to ensure consistency
- motivate and develop future pastry chefs by sharing inspiration and ideas
- communicate openly with other chefs to ensure menu coherence
- maintain a clean and sanitary work station adhering to all DHEC regulations
- promptly report product shortages, equipment issues or food quality problems
- participate in scheduled employee meetings offering suggestions
- ensure the guest experience is the primary goal
