Job Requirements
- Proven experience as a successful pastry chef
- Prior management experience of multi-unit required
- Ability to travel around Charleston providing desserts to restaurants
- 3+ years of experience in a pastry kitchen handling preparation and cooking
- Strong attention to detail
- Creative with a problem-solving approach
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation, sanitation principles, baking techniques and nutrition
- Must be available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays

Job Duties
- Craft dessert menus fitting with the restaurant concept and locale while collaborating with the Executive Chef
- Prepare detailed recipe cards and ensure team adherence for consistency
- Motivate, teach, and maintain a positive culture among pastry cooks by sharing inspiration and ideas
- Communicate openly with chefs and receptively adapt recipes based on feedback
- Maintain clean and sanitary workstations according to all health regulations
- Report product shortages, equipment problems, or food quality issues promptly to the Executive Chef
- Participate actively in employee meetings offering suggestions for improvement
- Ensure the guest experience remains the top priority in all pastry operations
