Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, hospitality, or related field
  • 7 to 10 plus years of relevant experience in hotel asset management, hospitality operations, or related fields
  • advanced financial modeling skills including Excel
  • proven track record in hotel general management or complex leadership roles
  • strong commercial acumen with experience in revenue management, sales, marketing, and P&L ownership
  • excellent communication and meeting facilitation skills
  • familiarity with capital planning and capital project execution
  • ability to work with unionized environments and complex multi-outlet operations preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Proven operations track record as hotel general manager or complex vice president
  • advanced financial modeling including Excel, business case development, and operator contracting familiarity
  • strong commercial acumen including revenue management, sales and marketing, channel economics, and P&L ownership experience
  • experience with capital planning and project execution with an ability to assess design scope versus returns
  • excellent communication skills including concise executive summaries, clear recommendations, and meeting facilitation
  • comfort with union environments and complex multi-outlet operations including food and beverage, nightlife, spa, and retail preferred
  • bachelor's degree in finance, economics, hospitality, or related field
  • MBA, CFA, or CPA a plus
  • 7 to 10 plus years in hotel asset management, hospitality operations, hospitality private equity, owner-side FP&A, or property-level director of finance or commercial leadership for large, luxury or high-volume hotels or resorts

Job Duties

  • Own the multi-year asset plan per property including positioning, capital roadmap, and value-creation levers
  • lead monthly and quarterly owner reviews covering revenues, EBITDA, RevPAR index, pricing and mix strategy, GOP flow-through, cash, and forecast risk
  • benchmark performance against competitive sets and develop plans to improve RevPAR Index, TRevPAR, GOPPAR, labor productivity, F&B margins, and overhead departmental expenses
  • partner with general managers, directors of finance, and revenue leaders to optimize pricing, mix, distribution, and group sales strategies
  • review sales pipeline, marketing ROI, channel costs, and contribution margins ensuring clear pace and pickup actions
  • monitor guest experience and internal transaction ratings (ITR) linked to financial outcomes, franchise, and ownership goals
  • co-own the annual business plan and budget including assumptions, risks, and upside plans
  • build and govern the capital expenditure plan including business cases, IRR, NPV, and post-investment reviews
  • oversee repair and maintenance versus capital expenditure distinctions ensuring asset protection and brand compliance
  • support acquisitions and dispositions through underwriting models, market diligence, and transition plans
  • partner with finance on lender reporting, covenant compliance, debt service coverage ratio (DSCR), and required approvals
  • coordinate with legal and human resources on union and collective bargaining agreement impacts, labor strategy, and compliance
  • track environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives including energy, water, and waste management efforts and incentives
  • maintain robust data models and dashboards using Excel, Power BI, Tableau, and hospitality-specific data platforms
  • standardize key performance indicator (KPI) reporting across properties ensuring data integrity and clear decision memos
  • influence key metrics such as RevPAR Index growth and pricing quality, gross operating profit (GOP) margin and flow-through to forecast, capital expenditure (CapEx) ROI and delivery to plan, labor productivity, food and beverage outlet profitability, and cash conversion and working capital discipline
