Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of progressive hotel or related experience
- Four-year college degree or relevant education
- Proficient in MS Windows and Microsoft Office applications including Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and communicate effectively
- Strong organizational and client service skills
- Ability to work under pressure and problem-solve efficiently
Job Qualifications
- At least 2 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field
- Four-year college degree or a two-year college degree plus one or more years of related experience
- Proficiency in MS Windows, Excel, PowerPoint, and other company-approved spreadsheets and word processing software
Job Duties
- Create, review and revise rooming lists and VIP lists
- Create detailed resumes for all groups and social events on a weekly basis
- Manage existing accounts and follow up with client for re-solicitation and to capture future business
- Effectively communicate with the hotel’s on-site caterer on any food and beverage client requests
- Manage the event diary in Hyatt Envision Sales and adjust space to ensure maximum potential revenue
- Be visible on the floor and assist staff during group business dates of stay and social block arrival dates
- Conduct or participate in departmental and hotel training sessions
- Plan and execute holiday and special events in conjunction with the Director of Human Resources
- Utilize feedback from meeting planner evaluations to improve service and quality
- Participate in required management on duty programs
- Fully execute all room blocks for group and social business from contract signing through post-event billing
- Assist Pergola Restaurant in booking private dining events
- Maintain open communication with immediate supervisor regarding issues
- Prepare and submit required reports in a timely manner
- Follow up on all group and social turnovers within designated timeframes
- Understand all meeting room setups and hotel sleeping accommodations
- Respond promptly to requests from meeting planners via email or telephone
- Use the partnership agreement to meet client needs
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all hotel operational departments
- Effectively communicate and interact with outside planners and vendors for event setup
- Maintain pricing integrity and propose upgraded guestrooms and suite accommodations when possible
