Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree in hospitality or related field
- 1-2 years experience in convention services, hotel sales, or hotel marketing
- Proficiency in property management systems
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to speak and hear in English
- Ability to sit frequently with some walking and standing
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to work normal office conditions and in close proximity to others
Job Qualifications

- Knowledge of meal guarantees, event setup styles, and hotel services
Job Duties
- Receive and respond to all customer inquiries within four business hours
- Negotiate and capture all profitable rooms and catering business in accordance with selective selling guidelines
- Conduct successful site tours and pre-con meetings when required
- Prepare and send requested collateral materials to designated clients or guests such as catering menus, brochures, meeting room layouts, seating capacity diagrams, and area maps
- Prepare and send requested proposals and contracts to designated potential clients
- Coordinate all details pertaining to rooming lists including room types, shared rooms, locations, handicap-accessible rooms, and billing
- Educate event planners on hotel procedures including meal guarantees, set-up styles, payment terms, and services
- Coordinate details for banquet event orders including meeting room setup, food and beverage items, audio/visual equipment, and billing
- Distribute final rooming lists and banquet event orders to applicable service staff
- Meet clients upon arrival and prior to departure to ensure contract fulfillment
- Document and report sales activities timely and accurately
- Maintain an active list of top accounts for continuous relationship building
- Perform other services and duties as requested by the Director of Sales
- Host functions and participate in sales blitzes, travel, and work extended hours as needed
- Implement methods to raise meeting planner evaluation scores and ensure satisfaction
- Perform other duties as assigned
