Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree in hospitality or related field
- 1-2 years experience in convention services, hotel sales, hotel marketing, or equivalent experience
- Excellent computer skills including word processing and spreadsheet use
- Familiarity with brand specific property management systems
- Excellent communication, presentation, organization, time management and listening skills
- Analytical skills for measuring business potential and value
- Ability to speak and hear in English
- Close and distance vision
- Frequent sitting with some walking and standing
- Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 lbs
- Use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills
- Work in normal office conditions and close proximity to others
Job Qualifications

- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Proficient in computer applications including word processing and spreadsheets

- Physical ability to frequently sit, walk, stand, lift up to 25 lbs, and use manual dexterity
Job Duties
- Receive and respond to all customer inquiries within four business hours
- Negotiate and capture all profitable rooms and catering business in accordance with selective selling guidelines
- Conduct successful site tours and pre-con meetings when required
- Prepare and send requested collateral materials to designated clients or guests
- Prepare and send requested proposals and contracts to potential clients
- Coordinate all details pertaining to rooming lists including room types, shared rooms, room locations, handicap-accessible rooms, and billing
- Educate event planners on hotel procedures including meal guarantees, set-up styles, payment terms, and available services
- Coordinate all details on banquet event orders including meeting room set-up, food and beverage items, audiovisual equipment, and billing
- Distribute final rooming lists and banquet event orders to applicable service staff
- Meet clients upon arrival and prior to departure to ensure contract details are delivered
- Document and report all sales activities in a timely and accurate manner
- Maintain an active list of top accounts for relationship building
- Host functions and participate in sales blitzes as requested
- Implement methods to raise meeting planner evaluation scores
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Sales
