Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in sales or event management
  • Proficient in client relationship management
  • Ability to work flexible schedules
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Knowledge of catering and group sales processes
  • Ability to perform event detailing tasks as needed
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion principles

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1-2 years of relevant sales or event management experience
  • Familiarity with hotel sales platforms such as CI/TY is a plus
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple accounts efficiently
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Sell all catering events and group business up to 49 rooms on peak
  • Assist in the efficient operation of the Sales Department
  • Manage accounts to achieve guest satisfaction
  • Solicit new and past business to meet or exceed revenue goals
  • Respond timely to group/catering business inquiries
  • Conduct hotel site inspections and client presentations
  • Create contracts and maintain client account files
  • Prospect for new business through sales blitzes, cold calling, and attending industry events
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Negotiate contracts and close business
  • Communicate client needs to all hotel departments
  • Detail events including food, beverage, setup, and audio visual needs when necessary
  • Perform other duties as assigned
