Job Requirements
- Minimum of two years hospitality sales experience including group sales and banquets
- bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
- professional proficiency in English
- adaptable interpersonal skills
- flexible availability including evenings and weekends
- knowledge of Delphi FDC system preferred but not required

Job Duties
- Uphold and role model the company’s principles of People, Place and Character
- receive and respond to all customer inquiries within four business hours
- negotiate and capture all profitable rooms and catering business in accordance with the hotels selling guidelines
- meet clients upon arrival and prior to departure to ensure all contract details are delivered timely and accurately
- document and report all sales activities as required
- demonstrate strong closing and negotiating skills
- prepare and distribute collateral materials such as catering menus and meeting layouts
- conduct successful site tours, pre-con meetings, and client presentations
- provide creative and innovative event setups and menus
- coordinate all details pertaining to rooming lists including room types and billing
- educate event planners on hotel procedures such as meal guarantees and payment terms
- coordinate banquet event orders including setup specifications and billing
- distribute final rooming lists, group resumes, and banquet orders to service staff
- provide direction and evaluation of banquet event operations
- manage audio/visual equipment operations as a profit center
- maintain an active list of top accounts to ensure continuous relationship building
- perform other duties as requested by the Director of Sales
- host functions and participate in sales blitzes, travel, and extended hours as required
- implement methods to raise meeting planner evaluation scores
- work with outside vendors to ensure client satisfaction
- comply with attendance rules and maintain regular availability
- support additional tasks requested by the Director of Sales and General Manager
