Job Requirements

  • Must have 4 years of management experience in a full-service, high-volume restaurant
  • Solid track record of success in previous assignments demonstrating upward career tracking
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Culinary school background a plus

Job Duties

  • Ensure proper staffing levels by recruiting and interviewing talented kitchen staff members following company guidelines
  • Manage HOH team, including scheduling, performance feedback, and discipline
  • Responsible for ongoing training and professional development of all Heart of House team members
  • Motivate team daily to create and ensure a fun and successful work environment
  • Maintain the highest food quality from the back door to the guest’s table
  • Communicate effectively with management and corporate team to ensure efficient operations
  • Build trust with team members and fellow management by providing clear and honest communication
  • Maintain all Walk-On’s standards and hold team to the same standards
  • Set operational goals and follow-up plans for the HOH team and self
  • Implement and adhere to all kitchen systems
  • Place all food orders
  • Set and maintain pars
  • Properly manage inventory procedures
  • Support and reinforce highest food quality standards through Walk-On’s systems
  • Implement and adhere to Walk-On’s/Ecosure safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Ensure financial success of the HOH through control of food cost, inventory, waste, and labor costs
