Job Requirements

  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to enforce cleanliness standards for all rooms/suites
  • Ability to physically move large objects such as carts, large bags of linen, and mattresses
  • Able to work weekends and holidays
  • Degree in Hotel Management or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years prior housekeeping management experience
  • Proficient in Windows operating systems

  • Experience in supervising and training staff

Job Duties

  • Manage daily housekeeping operations including maintaining cleanliness, service, and product quality standards of guest rooms, public spaces, restrooms, offices, and banquet/meeting/conference rooms
  • Ensure rooms are clean and available to guests in a timely manner
  • Schedule staff according to standards and forecasted occupancies
  • Conduct monthly linen inventory with an understanding of usage
  • Create and document deep cleaning schedules for all rooms, carpets, and public spaces
  • Maintain open communication between associates and management and monitor associate relations
  • Assist in monitoring and developing team member performance including supervision, counseling, evaluations, and delivering recognition and reward
  • Oversee and conduct room inspections
  • Recruit, interview, and train team members
