Job Qualifications

  • high-school graduate or equivalent
  • minimum of one year of executive hospitality experience preferred
  • excellent customer service skills
  • bilingual communication skills preferred
  • computer knowledge and/or experience preferred
  • previous hospitality industry experience preferred
  • previous experience as an executive housekeeper preferred

Job Duties

  • prepare monthly forecast for housekeeping department with other departments to ensure no disruption to guests
  • plan work schedules and room assignments for housekeeping team members
  • participate in recruiting and selection of new housekeeping staff
  • conduct performance planning, evaluation, and performance appraisals of team members
  • maintain accurate personnel records
  • supervise and provide essential training for newly hired team members
  • ensure team members understand duties, responsibilities, company policies, and guest service expectations
  • conduct guest satisfaction inspections of public areas, guest rooms, corridors, restrooms, and laundry
  • assist with preparation and management of annual housekeeping budget and expenses
  • manage cleaning supply orders, linen par stocks, and chemicals
  • maintain inventory and enforce cost control procedures
  • implement and understand hotel key control system
  • track lost and found goods and ensure procedures are followed
  • process guest complaints and oversee proper maintenance of equipment
  • conduct meetings with team members
  • ensure team member uniforms meet company standards
  • reinforce and maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness
  • assist with emergency and security procedures
  • promote safety practices within hotel
  • understand laws applicable to housekeeping supplies and chemicals
  • monitor preventive maintenance to protect hotel assets
  • perform other tasks as necessary to meet or exceed guest satisfaction
