Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience as a hotel Housekeeping Manager
  • Effective listening and communication skills
  • Commitment to customer service
  • Ability to multitask and manage pressure
  • Patience in interactions with associates and guests
  • Flexibility in working hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and perform physical tasks like standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
  • Understanding of safety standards including OSHA and MSDS guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must have hotel Housekeeping Manager experience
  • Effective at listening, understanding, and clarifying concerns of co-workers and guests
  • Committed to providing unparalleled customer service
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible enough to manage multiple tasks
  • Works effectively under pressure and with distractions
  • Demonstrates patience when interacting with associates and customers

Job Duties

  • Interview, select, train, schedule, coach, and support associates ensuring they perform according to brand or hotel standards
  • Observe and monitor staff performance to ensure efficient operations and adherence to policies and procedures
  • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and grounds for cleanliness, appearance, and safety
  • Answer inquiries about hotel policies and services and resolve guests’ complaints and concerns
  • Prepare schedules based on occupancy and assign duties to associates
  • Take inventory and submit periodic orders to ensure timely purchase of supplies
  • Prepare required paperwork for departmental functions
  • Communicate guest service scores to drive improvement and higher guest satisfaction
  • Comply with internal audit standards related to key control and risk management
  • Maintain departmental expenses in line with budget guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with specific brand standards
  • Follow sustainability guidelines and practices
  • Practice safe work habits, adhere to MSDS and OSHA standards, wear protective equipment, and participate in safety committees
  • Perform other duties as requested by management
