Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience as a hotel Housekeeping Manager
- Effective listening and communication skills
- Commitment to customer service
- Ability to multitask and manage pressure
- Patience in interactions with associates and guests
- Flexibility in working hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and perform physical tasks like standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
- Understanding of safety standards including OSHA and MSDS guidelines
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must have hotel Housekeeping Manager experience
- Effective at listening, understanding, and clarifying concerns of co-workers and guests
- Committed to providing unparalleled customer service
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexible enough to manage multiple tasks
- Works effectively under pressure and with distractions
- Demonstrates patience when interacting with associates and customers
Job Duties
- Interview, select, train, schedule, coach, and support associates ensuring they perform according to brand or hotel standards
- Observe and monitor staff performance to ensure efficient operations and adherence to policies and procedures
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and grounds for cleanliness, appearance, and safety
- Answer inquiries about hotel policies and services and resolve guests’ complaints and concerns
- Prepare schedules based on occupancy and assign duties to associates
- Take inventory and submit periodic orders to ensure timely purchase of supplies
- Prepare required paperwork for departmental functions
- Communicate guest service scores to drive improvement and higher guest satisfaction
- Comply with internal audit standards related to key control and risk management
- Maintain departmental expenses in line with budget guidelines
- Ensure compliance with specific brand standards
- Follow sustainability guidelines and practices
- Practice safe work habits, adhere to MSDS and OSHA standards, wear protective equipment, and participate in safety committees
- Perform other duties as requested by management
