Job Requirements

  • At least 1 year of higher education beyond high school or G.E.D.
  • Preferably 3 years experience in customer service, hotel, administrative, HR, legal, educational, training, or business-related field
  • Preferably 1 year experience as housekeeper or room attendant in a hotel environment
  • Background screening for previous criminal history
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, data entry and database management
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively manage emotions and remain composed under pressure

Job Qualifications

  • Preferably 1 year experience as housekeeper or room attendant in a hotel environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, data entry and database management systems
  • Emotionally competent with ability to manage disruptive emotions and stay focused under pressure
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Background screening clearance
  • At least 1 year of education beyond high school or G.E.D.
  • Ability to anticipate guests' needs

  • Strong social, organizational and administrative strengths
  • Speaks guests' preferred language

Job Duties

  • Maintain hotel's cleanliness standards for guest rooms and public areas
  • Train staff in all aspects of housekeeping including guest service
  • Administer guest satisfaction inspection procedures and reports
  • Maintain key control and lost-and-found procedures
  • Plan work schedules and room assignments with minimum disruption to guests
  • Be flexible and willing to perform other tasks as necessary
  • Wear hotel uniform and adhere to grooming standards
  • Maintain labor plans and ensure labor budget compliance
  • Manage inventory and ensure cost control procedures are followed
  • Maintain guest service as the hotel philosophy
  • Respond promptly to guests' needs and ensure staff meets service standards
  • Develop customer service programs
  • Empower staff to deliver great guest service
  • Engage guests in conversation and recognition
  • Resolve guest issues immediately
  • Manage human resources functions including recruiting, training, performance evaluation, and employee relations
  • Maintain a positive work environment
  • Administer personnel policies fairly
  • Resolve employee grievances
  • Use safety training to minimize claims
  • Monitor turnover levels
  • Assist in annual budget preparation
  • Track financial and operating information
  • Order cleaning supplies and linens at best prices
  • Implement safety and security measures
  • Use computer applications for administrative tasks
  • Manage emotional intelligence and guest needs
  • Communicate effectively
