Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 96 months of business and hospitality management experience including higher education environment
  • Valid drivers license to operate OU motor vehicles
  • ServSafe certified or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
  • Food Handlers License or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
  • Must be able to push, pull, reach, engage in repetitive motions, move and communicate effectively
  • Must be able to synthesize large amounts of information daily to ensure smooth operations
  • Frequent exposure to extreme temperature changes
  • Must be able to travel around campus daily
  • Frequent exposure to pressure caused by deadlines and busy periods
  • Requires frequent contact with other departments and university officials

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 96 months of business and hospitality management experience including higher education environment
  • Ability to accurately read and understand written materials and instructions
  • Basic computer skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to produce reports and complete work within deadlines
  • Strong initiative to solve problems
  • Ability to work well with interdepartmental teams and initiatives
  • Customer service skills
  • Highly developed oral, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Ability to understand and manipulate complex spreadsheets and reports
  • Independently solve complex problems
  • Advanced knowledge of food preparation techniques, storage, handling, and sanitation standards

Job Duties

  • Manage the overall administration, day-to-day operations and budget
  • Monitor financial performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and drive revenue growth
  • Supervise employees including hiring, firing, training, and evaluating performance
  • Promote professional development, training and a positive and engaged work culture
  • Assist in the establishment of specific and long-range unit goals that align with institutional goals
  • Develop, implement and administer services, programs, or projects
  • Provide consultation, clarify policies and procedures, and resolve problems
  • Perform assignments requiring specialized food production and equipment knowledge and skills
  • Travel to local, state, regional or national meetings
  • Perform related duties as needed to fulfill the functions of the position
