Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or operations management
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in distribution or logistics
  • Proven track record of operational efficiency in warehouse management
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong financial management skills
  • Experience in leading teams through rapid change
  • Knowledge of food safety and transportation compliance

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Operations Management (MBA a plus)
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in a distribution or logistics environment
  • Proven record of driving operational efficiency in warehouses (required) and fleet management (a plus)
  • Excellent communication skills to cultivate relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to balance cost optimization with service excellence
  • Skilled at leading through rapid change, building engaged teams, and fostering collaboration across departments and diverse teams

Job Duties

  • Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple distribution centers, ensuring accuracy, safety, and top-tier service to our customers
  • Lead new warehouse buildout and expansion programs
  • Lead warehouse optimization initiatives including layout design, process improvements, and technology adoption
  • Provide strategic oversight to fleet operations, emphasizing route optimization, safety improvements, and maintenance strategies to maximize uptime and efficiency
  • Establish and monitor KPIs for safety, cost control, service levels, inventory accuracy, and order fulfillment
  • Collaborate with IT, DC General Managers, and external vendors to evaluate and implement advanced technologies such as robotics, WMS/TMS upgrades, AI-driven forecasting, and fleet telematics
  • Drive continuous improvement through Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies
  • Develop long-term strategies to align operations with growth objectives, including capacity planning and market expansion
  • Partner with Finance and Accounting, Sales, and Supply Chain to align operations with financial goals and customer demand
  • Prepare executive-level reports and presentations that clearly communicate operational performance, initiatives, and strategic recommendations to the senior leadership team
  • Inspire, coach, and grow a strong leadership bench across warehouse and fleet management teams
  • Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, regulatory, and transportation standards
