Job Requirements
- minimum 5-10 years experience as a leader in a food and beverage environment, luxury hotel preferred
- strong restaurant operation background
- proven leadership, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
- high energy and entrepreneurial spirit
- motivational leadership skills
- effective problem-solving abilities in the workplace
- ability to work with and understand financial information and data, including basic arithmetic functions
- ability to communicate in English
- ability to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends
- able to perform multiple tasks
- physical fitness to lift, pull, and push items up to 50 pounds
- ability to stand, walk, reach, and bend throughout the shift
Job Qualifications
- 4-year university or college degree in hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration, or related major
- 5 plus years of experience in food and beverage or related professional area
- strong restaurant operation background
- proven leadership, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
- high energy and entrepreneurial spirit
- proven track record in high volume concept
- effective communicator
- skilled in providing exceptional customer service
- ability to improve the bottom line
- ability to communicate in English
- proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Job Duties
- Direct the restaurant, banquets, in-room dining, lounge and bars, and recreational operations
- monitor food and beverage operations for maximum sales growth and profit potential while maintaining guest satisfaction
- manage short- and long-term planning and Food & Beverage front of house operations
- direct budget management for the department ensuring accuracy and alignment with hotel goals
- assist in evaluating and repositioning food and beverage concepts through format, design, and marketing to build business
- focus on marketing and guest service delivery to build customer loyalty and attract new guests
- collaborate with Culinary on menu engineering
- track weekly labor reports to ensure productivity
- enforce quality control for food and beverage
- conduct daily walk-throughs for compliance
- interview, hire, train and motivate the food and beverage team
- conduct daily rehearsal meetings
- coordinate food and beverage operations with other hotel departments for efficient guest service
- ensure compliance with regulations including OSHA and Health Department
- review and adjust property specific event operations annually
- perform other duties as assigned by senior management
