Job Requirements

  • minimum 5-10 years experience as a leader in a food and beverage environment, luxury hotel preferred
  • strong restaurant operation background
  • effective communicator
  • proven track record in high volume concept management
  • ability to work under pressure and multitask
  • ability to communicate in English
  • physically fit to lift, pull, and push items up to 50 pounds
  • able to stand, walk, reach, and bend through a shift

Job Qualifications

  • four-year university/college degree in hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration, or related major
  • must possess proven leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader
  • demonstrated effectiveness in customer service and improving the bottom line
  • ability to handle workplace issues proactively
  • experience with financial data analysis and basic arithmetic
  • ability to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Job Duties

  • direct the restaurant, banquets, in-room dining, lounge and bars, and recreational operations
  • constantly monitor food and beverage operations for maximum sales growth and profit potential while maintaining guest satisfaction
  • responsible for short- and long-term planning and management of the food and beverage operations in the front of the house
  • direct the budget management for the department
  • assist in evaluation and potential repositioning of the food and beverage concept through format, design, marketing, and specific business-building activities
  • focus on food and beverage marketing and guest service delivery efforts
  • work with the culinary team on menu engineering
  • track weekly labor reports to ensure productivity
  • exercise quality control for food and beverage
  • conduct daily walk-through inspections to ensure compliance
  • interview, hire, train, and motivate team members
  • plan, assign, review, and direct work
  • evaluate and appraise performance
  • coordinate food and beverage operations with other hotel departments
  • ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • review event operations and make appropriate adjustments
  • perform other reasonable duties as assigned
