Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in culinary arts, hospitality management, or a related field
  • At least seven years of progressive leadership experience in multi-unit food service operations
  • Approval as a SCAD-authorized driver
  • ServSafe certification
  • Certifications demonstrating comprehensive understanding of food safety practices following GFSI standards and compliance with FSMA and regulatory requirements
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to perform essential job duties satisfactorily
  • Willingness to travel 10 to 20 percent
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in culinary arts, hospitality management, or a related field
  • At least seven years of progressive leadership experience in multi-unit food service operations
  • Approval as a SCAD-authorized driver
  • Experience in fine dining environments preferred
  • Familiarity with SCAD’s culture and creative community preferred
  • Culinary certification or advanced training preferred

Job Duties

  • Oversee and manage restaurant operations across all SCAD dining locations
  • Develop and implement operational processes aligned with strategic goals
  • Plan menus and manage food inventory, purchases, and utilization
  • Supervise and mentor a team of managers and culinary staff
  • Analyze business performance indicators for growth, cost control, and service improvement
  • Oversee pricing strategies by analyzing recipes, food costs, labor, and overhead
  • Ensure compliance with nutrition, sanitation, and safety standards
  • Coordinate catering services for events and special functions
  • Lead training programs for new hires and apprentices
  • Uphold SCAD’s mission, vision, and values in leadership and service
