Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in management and supervision
  • Experience or interest in working with older adults

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in management and supervision
  • Experience or interest in working with older adults
  • Understanding of the Fair Housing Act
  • Understanding of the Americans with Disabilities Act
  • Knowledge of employment and labor laws including Family and Medical Leave Act, Minimum Wage, Equal Employment Opportunity, Employee Polygraph Protection Act, employee testing and workers compensation
  • Knowledge of food-service regulation
  • Intermediate or advanced knowledge of relevant computer programs or willingness to learn
  • Understanding of state and federal regulations pertaining to Assisted Living
  • Ability to travel occasionally for meetings or education
  • Ability to promote teamwork
  • Previous experience in senior living preferred
  • Willingness to learn and help others
  • Enjoyment in working with older adults

Job Duties

  • Ensure the smooth operation of each department within established policies and procedures
  • Hire and build a team of Department Directors
  • Guide, mentor, and oversee Department Directors
  • Assist Department Directors in hiring and building their teams
  • Market the community to local areas by developing professional contacts
  • Meet with prospective residents and families
  • Develop positive relationships with residents, families, and employees
  • Manage financials to meet or exceed revenue and budget goals
  • Maintain high levels of satisfaction among residents, families, and team members
  • Establish open and effective communication with all stakeholders
  • Perform other duties as assigned
