Job Duties
- Oversees a YMCA branch and service area
- Maintains a diverse branch board that actively support the Y's goals and strategic plans
- Recruits, selects, and develops diverse volunteers for the branch board
- Builds bridges within the communities so that all segments of society have access to the Y
- Effectively communicates community benefit and the Y's impact for all stakeholders
- Manages the budgeting process so that resources are devoted to top priorities and strategic objectives
- Develops and directs high quality member engagement strategies and programs
- Directs the financial development activities including direct asks, grant writing and special events
- Oversees risk management strategies and ensures regulatory compliance
- Directs branch strategic planning efforts and develops the annual operating plan
- Oversees the hiring, training, development, and supervision of staff
- Fosters a climate of innovation to develop member-focused programs
- Addresses specific problem areas and organizes task forces
- Serves on community and association committees, task forces, and boards
