Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Certified Dietary Manager
- Food Handler's card where required
- Education or experience to meet state regulations
- Meets all mandatory health requirements by state regulations
- Prefer prior experience in commercial kitchen
- Requires attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Prior supervisory experience preferred
- Resident care philosophy focused on quality service and interaction
- Maintains a clean, safe environment for residents and staff
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff
- Compassion and interest in working with senior population
- Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and overtime
- Maintains CPR and/or First Aid certification
- Fully vaccinated against Covid-19 with accommodations for medical or religious reasons
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Dietary Manager
- Food Handler's card where required
- Prior supervisory experience preferred
- Experience in commercial kitchen environment preferred
- Resident care philosophy with focus on quality service
- Ability to relate and communicate positively with residents and families
- Maintains CPR and/or First Aid certification
- Knowledge of health department standards and safety regulations
Job Duties
- Supervises the staff in the daily operation of the dietary department
- Participates in recruitment and selection of dietary staff
- Provides orientation and ongoing coaching to staff members
- Prepares and submits food and supply orders
- Audits supply stock to maintain sufficient inventory
- Ensures compliance with company policies and health department standards
- Evaluates staff performance and provides feedback and discipline
- Inspects food service areas and equipment for cleanliness and safety
- Takes prompt action to address unsafe conditions or equipment problems
