Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • certified Dietary Manager
  • food Handler's card where required
  • education or experience sufficient to meet position requirements or as required by state regulations
  • meets all mandatory health requirements by state regulations
  • prior experience in a commercial kitchen environment preferred
  • requires attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • prior supervisory experience preferred
  • resident care philosophy with focus on quality service and professional interaction
  • maintains a clean, safe, and comfortable environment
  • ability to relate positively and communicate appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and employees
  • compassion and special interest in working with seniors
  • ability to work flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and overtime
  • maintains CPR and/or First Aid Certification
  • fully vaccinated against Covid-19 with accommodations available

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Participates in the recruitment and selection of staff
  • provides orientation and ongoing coaching to dietary staff
  • prepares and submits food and supply orders
  • audits supply stock to maintain adequate inventory
  • ensures compliance with company policies and health department standards
  • supervises food preparation, serving, and storage
  • evaluates staff performance and provides feedback and discipline as needed
  • inspects food service areas and equipment for cleanliness and safety
  • addresses any unsafe conditions or equipment problems promptly
