Job Requirements

  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of four years culinary experience
  • At least two years managerial experience preferred
  • Ability to multi-task effectively
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and quality standards
  • Experience leading a culinary team
  • Ability to train and develop staff
  • Familiarity with supply chain and procurement processes
  • Commitment to compliance with health and safety regulations

Job Qualifications

  • At least four years of culinary experience
  • Minimum two years in a management role preferred
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to simplify the agenda for the team
  • Advanced knowledge of food profession principles and practices
  • Experience in managing people and problem-solving
  • Strong oral, reading, and written communication skills

Job Duties

  • Ensure culinary production aligns with executional framework
  • Maintain culinary standards and proper techniques for food preparation, presentation, and service
  • Manage culinary team including chef managers and hourly staff to ensure quality
  • Train and manage culinary and kitchen staff using best practice food production techniques
  • Coach employees by creating shared understanding of goals and methods
  • Reward and recognize employees
  • Plan and execute team meetings and daily huddles
  • Maintain all staff records including training and performance data
  • Develop and maintain effective client and guest rapport
  • Interact directly with guests daily
  • Communicate regional culinary and ingredient trends
  • Deliver food and labor targets
  • Focus on margin improvement by analyzing performance metrics, order and inventory trends
  • Ensure efficient execution of culinary products per daily menu
  • Maintain integrity of Aramark food offer and ensure food quality and safety
  • Manage waste, standard menus, recipes, and customer-driven menus and labor standards
  • Understand supply chain and procurement processes ensuring use of authorized suppliers
  • Implement Food Framework
  • Accurately estimate food consumption for requisitions and purchases
  • Ensure proper equipment operation and maintenance
  • Comply with Aramark SAFE food and quality assurance standards, and all safety, health, and labor regulations
