Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or associate degree in culinary arts or related field
  • Minimum of five years' experience as an Executive Chef
  • Current ServSafe Certification
  • Proven ability to manage kitchen staff and operations
  • Ability to develop creative menus within budget
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain vendor relationships
  • Capability to oversee food safety and sanitation practices
  • Knowledge of senior living community dining needs

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts preferred
  • Associate degree with equivalent combination of experience considered
  • Minimum of five years' experience as an Executive Chef within hospitality industry
  • Current ServSafe Certification
  • Proven leadership and supervisory skills
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations
  • Experience managing food and labor budgets

Job Duties

  • Assist Kitchen and Restaurant staff with back and front of the house operations
  • Assist in planning, preparation, and execution of special events, banquets, and theme meals
  • Produce innovative menus and recipes within food and labor budget
  • Maintain monthly and annual budgets for Food & Beverage
  • Review and adjust menus for seasonal ingredients and cost changes
  • Ensure purchasing standards and maintain vendor relationships
  • Report and submit monthly inventory of food and beverage supplies
  • Interview, hire, train, and supervise culinary and food service staff including scheduling and performance reviews
  • Collaborate with executive and administrative staff to maintain customer satisfaction and health survey levels
  • Ensure maintenance and proper use of kitchen equipment
  • Enforce food safety policies and procedures
  • Manage food preparation to minimize waste
  • Oversee daily records accuracy
  • Provide ongoing training to kitchen staff
  • Coordinate with front-of-house to deliver high-quality food experiences
  • Work with marketing and activities for resident special events
  • Meet regularly with residents and families to ensure satisfaction
  • Advise management of resident concerns
